Honeymoon Hell

My husband and I had been planning our honeymoon in Venice since the day we got engaged. We found the perfect little hotel that was so romantic, right along the Grand Canal! So we splurged and booked the honeymoon suite – in-room Jacuzzi and all – and were so excited to get there. Well, when we arrived, the hotel had other plans. Apparently there was a problem with our reservation and it wasn’t showing up in their system. And our perfect honeymoon suite was “occupied” for the entire time we were in Italy. I nearly cried right there at the front desk.

But we called ASSIST-CARD and sure enough, they were at work for us immediately. The operator was so sweet and kept reminding me that everything would work out just fine and my honeymoon was not “ruined” as I said. She found us a new hotel, called a cab to get us there and booked the room for us. So within an hour we were arriving at the new place, and let me tell you – it might have been better than the last! We ended up in a fabulous suite, and had the time of our lives. We are so grateful for ASSIST-CARD, and for that lovely operator who saved our honeymoon!
